In order to timely providing information necessary to preparation for implementation of the Project on construction of the first nuclear power plant in Viet Nam, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOlT) will organize the 3rd International Exhibition on Nuclear Power in Ha Noi from 14 to 17 May 2008.
The FNCA FY2006 Workshop on Radiation Oncology was held from January 9 to 13, 2007, in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City , Viet Nam . The meeting was organized by the National Cancer Institute of Viet Nam (K Hospital) and co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan , in cooperation with the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum, Inc. (JAIF). Representatives from 8 FNCA countries, namely China , Indonesia , Japan , Republic of Korea , Malaysia , the Philippines , Thailand and Vietnam , participated in the workshop. A representative from Bangladesh participated as an observer.
31 Aug. 07) Mr K. S. Yum, Administration Officer of RCARO, made a presentation on RCA programme at the 7th Vietnam National Nuclear Conference that was held in 30-31 August 2007 at Danang, Viet Nam. More than 200 nuclear-related professionals of Viet Nam attended at the Conference and expressed their keen interest in the RCA programme. It was a good opportunity to increase awareness of RCA to the various nuclear-related communities of Viet Nam.
The Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology was founded in 1990 by the Council of Ministers of Vietnam.

VATLY is the name of a cosmic ray laboratory located in Ha Noi (Viet Nam) in the premises of the Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INST), an institute of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission (VAEC) headed by Dr Vo Van Thuan.
On 12 October 2007, Toshiba course on nuclear power plant technology was again opened at Hanoi University of Technology in the framework of cooperation between Hanoi University of Technology (HUT), Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission (VAEC) and Toshiba.
