| | The FNCA FY2006 Workshop on Radiation Oncology was held from January 9 to 13, 2007, in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City , Viet Nam . The meeting was organized by the National Cancer Institute of Viet Nam (K Hospital) and co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan , in cooperation with the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum, Inc. (JAIF). Representatives from 8 FNCA countries, namely China , Indonesia , Japan , Republic of Korea , Malaysia , the Philippines , Thailand and Vietnam , participated in the workshop. Yum, Administration Officer of RCARO, made a presentation on RCA programme at the 7th Vietnam National Nuclear Conference that was held in 30-31 August 2007 at Danang, Viet Nam. More than 200 nuclear-related professionals of Viet Nam attended at the Conference and expressed their keen interest in the RCA programme. It was a good opportunity to increase awareness of RCA to the various nuclear-related communities of Viet Nam.

| Nuclear Power EXPO | | (Hanoi) The Second International Nuclear Power Exhibition (Nuclear Power EXPO 2006) held in hanoi has successfully completted and closed at 6 PM on May 15th 2006 after 4 ebullient days. The exhibition was co-held by the Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission (VAEC) and the Energy Institute with sponsorship from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Ministry of Industry (MOI). Five countries co-participanted in this exhibition are Korea, Japan, Russia, French and Vietnam.

| | With strong encouragement and sponsorship from the EU Asia-Link network on nuclear physics and astrophysics, GANIL, CEA-Saclay, GSI-Darmstadt, RIKEN and Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission, the international symposium on the physics of unstable nuclei (ISPUN07), a follow up of the ISPUN02 meeting at Halong Bay, will take place in Hoi An (Vietnam) from July 3rd to July 7th, 2007. This ISPUN meeting will take place nearly 5 years after the first one, at a moment where the physics of unstable nuclei is facing new challenges with the advent of several new Radioactive Ion Beam facilities in the world. | | Detail » | |
